Marine air conditioning & refrigeration

Marine climate systems built for serviceability.

Air conditioning and refrigeration for ferries, commercial vessels and private craft — installation, repairs, maintenance and retrofits designed for salt, vibration and tight plant spaces.

Marine experience

Ongoing marine HVAC&R for ferry fleets.

We manage refrigeration and air conditioning across the Rottnest Express fleet, including screw compressor replacement, and support SeaLink operations — alongside building upgrades at their land-based facilities.

Our services

Installation, repair and maintenance.

01

Marine AC installation

Systems supplied and installed to suit the vessel’s size, layout and operating conditions.

02

Weak airflow, noise, refrigerant leaks, electrical faults and compressor failures diagnosed and repaired.

03

Maintenance & retrofits

Filter, refrigerant, corrosion, compressor and coil checks, plus upgrades of outdated or inefficient equipment.

Marine-specific priorities

What we plan for on board

Each vessel needs a project-specific assessment before equipment or capacity is committed.

  • Limited plantroom space and equipment access
  • Corrosion-resistant materials and durable components
  • Noise and airflow in occupied areas
  • Secure mounting, drainage and maintenance provisions
  • Safe integration with existing electrical and mechanical services

FAQs

Marine air conditioning questions

What types of vessels do you work on?

Ferries and commercial vessels, yachts, fishing boats and leisure craft.

How often should marine AC be serviced?

Vessels regularly exposed to saltwater should be serviced at least annually, and more often for high-use commercial vessels.

What causes marine AC units to fail?

Salt build-up, clogged filters, refrigerant leaks, electrical faults and compressor damage are the most common causes. Planned maintenance prevents most of them.

Do you provide custom solutions for unusual layouts?

Yes — equipment, pipework and air distribution are planned around the vessel’s layout and service access.
